Chelsea Gray had a creative and wholesome way of revealing her contract extension with the Las Vegas Aces ahead of the 2026 WNBA season.

Gray is gearing up for the 12th season of her WNBA career, her sixth with the Aces. She has showcased herself as one of the best playmakers in the league, garnering multiple All-Star selections in the process.

Her efforts helped the Aces elevate themselves as a modern dynasty in the WNBA, winning multiple championships. Not only that, but she locked up a three-year contract extension that will allow her to receiver multi-million dollar earnings throughout the deal.

Gray was proud to have inked her latest deal with the franchise that paved the way for her to achieve so much. It was major news to the point that her son had a short but excited statement for his mother getting to stay in Las Vegas, per reporter Callie Fin.

“Chelsea Gray is finalizing a 3-year, multi-million dollar deal with the Las Vegas Aces, I’m told,” Fin wrote.

“Mommy to Vegas!” Gray’s son Lennox exclaimed in the video.

What’s next for Chelsea Gray, Aces after extension

Chelsea Gray has enjoyed a successful WNBA career, especially since joining the Aces in 2021.

The 2025 campaign was a solid one for the veteran guard. She produced 11.2 points, 5.4 assists, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.4 steals per game throughout 44 appearances in the regular season. Throughout the playoffs, Gray averaged 11.2 points, 7.3 assists, 3.4 rebounds, 2.3 steals, and 1.3 blocks per game.

Las Vegas flourished throughout the 2025 campaign, finishing with a 30-14 record. They took down the Seattle Storm, Indiana Fever and Mercury to make their way to the WNBA championship. It marked their third in franchise history, all in the 2020s.

The Aces will look forward to the start of their journey in the 2026 season to defend their title. After a preseason matchup against the Dallas Wings on May 3 at 7 p.m. ET, they see their regular season begin with a duel against the Phoenix Mercury on May 9 at 3:30 p.m. ET.
