WWE star Liv Morgan lands another movie role

Over the last year, WWE star Liv Morgan’s acting career has taken off, as the Women’s World Champion has landed another movie role.

Deadline reports that Morgan has joined the cast of a new psychological thriller called Ping. The movie is currently in production in Mississippi. Fivel Stewart, Savanah Moss, and Carter Jenkins were also cast.

Jason Buckley’s Ultimate Media Group (UMG) is launching international sales at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) market. UMG is co-repping domestic with CAA Media Finance, per Deadline.

Richie Gordon wrote the script and will direct Ping, which follows “an aspiring creative director who lands a remote dream job, but is forced to choose between her sanity and a boss she can never mute.”

WWE star Liv Morgan’s movie roles

Morgan’s first acting role outside WWE was in an episode of Chucky in 2022. She would then land her first movie role, appearing in The Kill Room. The thriller movie also featured Uma Thurman, Joe Manganiello, Maya Hawke, and Samuel L. Jackson.

She was subsequently cast in the upcoming action movie, Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo. The action-thriller also stars Shun Oguri and Lily James. It is set for release in Japan on Oct. 23. Before then, it will hold its world premiere at TIFF on Sep. 14.

It appears Morgan is setting herself up for a career in Hollywood once her in-ring career comes to an end. She is currently in her third reign as Women’s World Champion after beating Stephanie Vaquer to win it at WrestleMania 42 in April.

She recently had her first title defense against Iyo Sky at SummerSlam. Morgan then successfully defended the title against Vaquer during the Sep. 7 edition of Monday Night RAW.

Throughout her young career, Morgan has accomplished almost everything imaginable. She is a three-time world champion, and she has won a record four tag team titles. Additionally, she has won a Royal Rumble and a Money in the Bank ladder match.
