WWE legend AJ Styles squashes divorce rumors

Recently, a rumor emerged on social media alleging that WWE Hall of Famer AJ Styles was heading toward a divorce from his wife of almost 26 years, Wendy. Styles and his wife first met while students at Johnson High School in Gainesville. They started dating in 1996, and four years later, the couple tied the knot.

A social media post recently claimed Styles and Wendy were divorcing after 28 years of their marriage. It also claimed that Styles’ wife, Wendy, had also requested a huge amount of $300,000 in monthly child support. However, “The Phenomenal One” quickly squashed the rumors and cleared the air.

In his response, the WWE Hall of Famer revealed that he and his wife had seen the rumor and had a good laugh about it. Styles then corrected one of the claims, sharing that he and Wendy had been married for 26 years and not 28.

“My wife and I saw this today. We had a good laugh. For the record, we have been married for 26 years. Together for over 3 decades. I’m a blessed man,” Styles wrote as a response to the viral divorce rumor.

Styles and Wendy are parents to four children. Their son, Avery, recently followed in his father’s footsteps by officially starting his pro-wrestling career and recently joined Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA).

Styles retired from in-ring action earlier this year in Jan. 2026 and was inducted into the 2026 WWE Hall of Fame. He currently serves in his role as a talent scout in WWE as well as produces matches for the promotion.
