Why Shaq is still holding a grudge with Larry David amid Knicks-Spurs Game 4
Celebrities are once again converging at the NBA Finals, with the New York Knicks hosting the San Antonio Spurs for Game 4 of their series Wednesday night.
And among the personalities packing the arena is none other than Larry David, the star and creator of “Curb Your Enthusiasm.” David’s presence also prompted a hilarious reaction from NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal while on air for Inside the NBA.
“I don’t like him, he tripped me,” Shaq blurted out when David was shown on broadcast, seemingly still in his Curb persona.
"I don't like him, he tripped me."

That “grudge” goes way, way back for Shaq, as it’s rooted from a 2001 episode of the second season of Curb Your Enthusiasm titled, well, “Shaq.”
The premise of that episode centered on David accidentally tripping the Los Angeles Lakers superstar big man during a game at the STAPLES Center.
This time around, however, David did not have some “Seinfeld” VHS tapes with him to win over Shaq.
The Basketball Hall of Famer’s quip about David also sparked all sorts of reactions from fans on social media.
“Shaq holds grudges longer than some marriages last,” a fan said.
“Shaq holding a grudge over one trip is honestly hilarious, Larry David really lives rent free in the wildest places,” a social media user on X shared.
“Episode aired in 2001. shaq still holding the grudge 25 years later. larry david ruining relationships with zero effort is the whole legacy of that show,” another one commented.
“LARRY I SWEAR IF YOU TRIP WEMBY
,” a different fan said.
“25 years and its still fresh cant blame him,” another comment read.
Now, Shaq just needs to stay away from David to avoid another tripping incident from happening.
