Why Brooke Hogan regrets removing herself from Hulk Hogan’s will

Brooke Hogan regrets her decision to be dismissed from Hulk Hogan’s will.

The daughter of the late WWE icon died on July 24, 2025, after suffering cardiac arrest in his Florida home. His cause of death was later ruled as a heart attack. Years before his passing, Brooke voluntarily removed herself from his will, according to a TMZ insider, citing that she did not want to be in any drama regarding his will, so she called his financial advisor and asked to be taken out back in 2023. Now, months after his passing, she has a change of heart.

In an interview with Hollywood Raw Podcast with Dax Holt and Adam Glyn, she shared her original intention on why shw did not want to be in the will in the first place.

“There were situations that had me so scared,” she said. “I really took myself off the will because I was actually scared for myself, my family, my safety.”

Brooke is the mom to twins whom she shares with her husband, former NHL star Steve Oleksy. The reason why she regrets having made that choice was that she lost her power in the decision-making process regarding her father.

“I regret that decision,” Brooke added. “Not because of the money — I’ve never been about the money — but because now I don’t have a seat at the table.”

“There’s not enough money in the world that would matter with what I felt I was facing,” she said.

Hulk Hogan’s estimated $5 million estate named his son, Nick Hogan, as the sole beneficiary, per court documents obtained by Us Weekly. Additionally, Hulk’s widow, Melanie Sky Daily, was listed as a surviving spouse but not a beneficiary. Ultimately, she’s hurting on not having a voice in the process.

“I can’t get answers, I can’t be part of decisions, and that’s the part that hurts,” she said.

Brooke and Hulk’s relationship had been estranged for years. However, she put any hurt feelings aside and wrote an emotional tribute to her father.

“When he left this earth, it felt like part of my spirit left with him. I felt it before the news even reached us,” Brooke wrote on Instagram at the time. “… I know he’s at peace now, out of pain, and in a place as beautiful as he imagined. He used to speak about this moment with such wonder and hope. Like meeting God was the greatest championship he’d ever have.”
