White Sox rumors: The next superstar prospect who could be promoted after Noah Schultz

As the Chicago White Sox try to move closer towards contention, they have called up top prospect Noah Schultz. However, he may not be the only prospect making his way to the South Side soon.

The White Sox are eyeing a potential call up for infielder/outfielder Sam Antonacci, via Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic. General manager Chris Getz has come away more than impressed when he sees Antonacci on the diamond.

“He’s a top prospect and has been — for some reason public rankings haven’t caught up, but projection systems (including ours) have him in our top tier of prospects,” Getz said. “We anticipate he’ll be on our major-league club at some point this season. If you surveyed staff throughout our org what we want a White Sox player to look and play like it’s Sam Antonacci.”

Getting Schultz up to the big leagues will bring plenty of hype on its own. The left-hander ranks as the second-best prospect in Chicago’s organization and No. 46 in all of baseball, via MLB Pipeline. Over his three starts in Triple-A during the 2026 season, the left-hander held a 1.29 ERA and a 19/2 K/BB ratio. If everything works out how Chicago is planning, Schultz will be a staple in their rotation for the foreseeable future.

If Antonacci were to join him, the White Sox’s youth movement would be in full swing. Currently ranked as the ninth-best prospect in the organization, Antonacci is capable of playing every infield position and has ample experience in left field. In the box, he has hit .297 with seven home runs, 78 RBIs and 60 stolen bases over 152 minor league games. Through 13 games in Triple-A during the 2026 campaign, the infielder/outfielder is hitting .289 with two home runs, seven RBIs and five stolen bases.

All eyes will be on Schultz when he makes his MLB debut. With Antonacci soon potentially joining him, the White Sox’s roster will be full of graduated top prospects.
