England vs DR Congo: What has been said?

England have suffered various hurdles throughout the group stages, especially regarding injuries at right-back.

First-choice right-back Reece James is battling a hamstring injury and fellow full-back Tino Livramento has already withdrawn from the World Cup squad.

Jarell Quansah started against Panama on Saturday, however; he suffered an issue which forced a substitution.

Following the Three Lions’ match against Panama, Tuchel provided an injury update.

He said: “He has suffered a classic ankle twist and he is in pain. He said he had it before and it is a matter of days. He has his leg up high and in ice.

“Naturally of course [I am worried about the right-back situation] – we have another injury in the position.

“Of course we have another injury in the position, it will be a tight race for Reece James and a very tight race for Jarell Quansah but it is our job to find solutions and we will do.”
