After one of the all-time great European games, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain meet again in their Champions League semi-final second leg.

The two sides played out the joint-highest scoring semi-final match in the competition’s history last week, as PSG emerged 5-4 winners in a breath-taking first leg clash in Paris.

With seven different goalscorers in the match, the French giants led 3-2 at half-time through Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Joao Neves and Ousmane Dembele.

Luis Enrique‘s side then stormed into a 5-2 lead after the break, with Kvaratskhelia and Dembele both grabbing their second goals.

But late goals from Dayot Upamecano and Luis Diaz brought Bayern back within touching distance, setting the second leg up perfectly.

With a huge decider to come, the Bavarians are looking to pull off a memorable comeback in front of their fans, while PSG are chasing a win that will take them closer to another European glory.

The winner will secure their place in the final in Budapest, where they will face either Arsenal or Atletico Madrid.

Bayern Munich vs PSG: Team news

Bayern are missing several key players for their second leg clash, including Raphael Guerreiro, who is out with a hamstring injury.

Serge Gnabry is out for the season with a thigh issue, while exciting young forward Lennart Karl is a doubt with a muscular injury.

Vincent Kompany rested a number of his starting XI for his side’s 3-3 draw with Heidenheim over the weekend, including Manuel Neuer, Dayot Upamecano, Alphonso Davies, Joshua Kimmich, Michael Olise, Luis Diaz and Harry Kane.

However, all are now expected to return for PSG’s visit, with Kane looking to score in a seventh straight Champions League game.

As for PSG, their most notable absentee is captain Achraf Hakimi, who is unavailable after picking up a thigh injury in the first-leg.

In his place, Warren Zaire-Emery is expected to fill in at right-back, with Fabian Ruiz set to come into the midfield three.

The visitors are also missing second-choice goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier, but look in good shape otherwise for the crunch match.

Bayern Munich vs PSG: What has been said?

Kompany has hinted another high-scoring game could be on the cards as his Bayern Munich side target a comeback win over PSG.

Discussing the thrilling first-leg clash, the Belgian pointed to both teams’ attack-minded philosophies and insisted they will look to play to their strengths again in the second leg.

Speaking last Friday, Kompany said: “PSG were never going to change the style that won them the Champions League last year.

“We come into the match as the team that has won the most games and scored the most goals in Europe.

“Is anyone going to take a backward step? Nobody will accept that.”
