Tiger Orchid

Ladronne has often been around this rating when performing well but doesn’t seem to go much beyond it.

Over 3m recently he’s not had the best form and the only 12-year-old in the field still looks better than most.

However, the top-weight Tiger Orchid looks to be a good price with some solid placings recently.

The 11-year-old has only won three over fences but has been hinting at a big performance with his consistency over these distances.

He’s been nudged down to a handy weight the same he was when a very close second at Worcester back in July and was running well before falling a month later.

A very solid chance for a horse that was rated 133 just 18 months ago.

Kosac d’Oudairies

This looks to be just a four-runner race if you go by just the odds and that seems fair too as these horses are well clear of the rest of them on paper so far.

Alsakib known for being part of Andrew Balding’s yard on the flat has made the switch to hurdling with Donald McCain and put up a solid second place behind Minstrel Knight at Wetherby on debut in December.

He faces Kosac d’Oudairies though who placed well himself behind Mydaddypaddy at Haydock in class 2 company having won at Lingfield on debut.

Add to that his dominant bumper form in February last year after some promising runs, he looks to have this wrapped up despite the penalty.
