According to The Scottish Sun, Crouch has been approached to join the line-up of famous faces.

The former England striker could appear alongside the likes of actors Danny Dyer and Michael Sheen, who have also been rumoured to feature.

Crouch would become the first ex-footballer to compete on the show following the first series, which aired in October.

Comedian Alan Carr won the show, with £87,500 going to his chosen charity Neuroblastoma UK.

Former England rugby union player Joe Marler and Olympic gold medallist Tom Daley were also part of the line-up.

Fan of the show

Crouch has previously revealed he is a watcher of the show, which is hosted by Claudia Winkleman.

Speaking last year, he admitted: “I love Celebrity Traitors but I don’t know if I could go on it. I’d be a traitor. Being a traitor is the one.”

The show sees a group of celebrities stay at a castle in the Scottish Highlands.

A select number of them are made ‘Traitors’ with the rest remaining ‘Faithfuls’.

The Traitors then attempt to eliminate the Faithfuls, who are themselves tasked with banishing the Traitors, with challenges along the way.

Crouch has become a popular face on television since hanging up his boots in 2019.

The 45-year-old is a regular pundit on TNT Sports’ Premier League coverage.

Meanwhile, he also hosts several podcasts, including one alongside his wife Abbey Clancy.

The Celebrity Traitors would not be his first appearance on a reality show, though.

Crouch previously presented ‘Peter Crouch: Save Our Summer’ in 2020 before being a panellist on The Masked Dancer two years later.

As a player, the forward scored 22 goals in 42 caps for England and was part of their 2006 and 2010 World Cup squads.
