However, Al Nassr have not been crowned champions for seven years, with their last coming back in 2019.

As a result, Cristiano Ronaldo has yet to win the Saudi Pro League since joining the club.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner arrived in January 2023 following his exit from Manchester United.

Having scored 115 goals in 130 appearances, his current deal runs until the end of next season after signing an extension in the summer.

Ronaldo will be hoping to continue his stunning scoring record for Al Nassr against Al Fahya this weekend.

Al Nassr’s title chase

Al Nassr currently sit two points clear at the top top of the Saudi Pro League following a 5-0 win over Al Najma on Wednesday.

Their midweek triumph was their ninth consecutive league victory, a run which dates back to the middle of January.

In contrast, their opponents Al Fahya head into the match down in 11th place.

Al Nassr claimed a 2-1 victory in the reverse fixture when the two sides met back in November.

Ronaldo scored twice on that occasion and will be hoping to produce a similar performance this weekend.

The 41-year-old has scored in each of his last four league matches to take his tally for the season to 21 in as many appearances.

He also debuted a new celebration after his latest strike against Al Najma.

Those efforts leave Ronaldo just two goals behind current top scorer Ivan Toney.
