Warriors’ Stephen Curry takes LeBron James recruiting pitch to GMA

The Golden State Warriors are one of the teams still in the race for LeBron James, and they’ve been doing whatever they can to bring him to The Bay. Draymond Green already put in his pitch for James while they were golfing, and Stephen Curry has also shared his thoughts about one of the greatest players of all time joining the Warriors.

Curry had another chance to do so on Good Morning America, as the crew asked him to share his pitch for James.

“The Bay, we know how to win, beautiful weather, great golf… we just know how to play basketball, and I think that he would enjoy just the idea of what it means to finish your career the right way,” Curry said. “He knows what he wants, and he’ll eventually make that decision; it’s solely up to him. We’re having fun with it knowing he’s got his pick of the entire league.”

Just about a week ago, Curry was asked about the Warriors having a chance at landing James.

“I’d say more so I’m interested to just play golf with LeBron [James],” Curry said. “We’ll handle the basketball stuff, but I want to see the golf LeBron free agent… we obviously would love to play together. I mean, hopefully it happens. But he’s deserved the opportunity and the right to take his time with the decision.”

Any basketball fan would love to see James and Curry share the court for an entire basketball season, especially after getting a glimpse during the 2024 Paris Olympics. Ironically enough, the head coach of that team was Steve Kerr, who is the coach of the Warriors.

The Warriors have to beat out other teams such as the Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat, Philadelphia 76ers and Minnesota Timberwolves, but they believe they have what it takes to land James.
