The UFC’s White House event reached a total global viewership of more than 34 million, according to the promotion.

Freedom 250 most-watched UFC event in US ever

Today, the UFC announced viewership figures from additional countries, including Australia, China, India, South Korea, New Zealand, and the UK.

And the results make UFC Freedom 250, headlined by Justin Gaethje‘s historic lightweight title victory over Ilia Topuria, the most-watched UFC event ever in the US.

A press release from the UFC on Friday read: “Final global viewership totals reflect the standard reporting process for some international broadcasters, with audience data from certain markets finalised seven to 10 days after live events air.

“Several countries, including Spain and France, which had athletes headlining the card, will not report viewership until mid-July or later…

“In the days following the June 14 live presentation on Paramount+, viewership continued to increase, making UFC Freedom 250 the most-watched live event replay in Paramount+ history.

“UFC Freedom 250 also delivered the most powerful social media performance ever for UFC.

“Throughout fight week (June 8–14), UFC social media amassed 126 billion total views, 5 billion engagements, and 536,000 new followers.”

The card also generated an estimated 64 billion impressions valued at $1.1billion.

For context, Jake Paul‘s Netflix clash against Anthony Joshua last December drew 33 million global viewers, while the former’s bout with Mike Tyson on the same platform generated 108 million.

Meanwhile, Netflix’s Canelo Alvarez vs Terence Crawford and Ronda Rousey vs Gina Carano had 41.4 million and 17 million worldwide viewers, respectively.

Rousey vs Carano, according to Netflix, set a new record in May for the most-watched MMA event in the US.

That broke the UFC’s previous record of 8.8 million set by Junior dos Santos’ clash with Cain Velasquez in 2011, live on FOX.

Paramount+ closed out its first quarter with 79.6million global subscribers — an estimated 35.8 million of those subscribers come from the US.

Netflix reportedly has a subscriber base of 325 million.

What else happened at UFC Freedom 250?

UFC Freedom 250 was action-packed from start to finish.

Top-ranked featherweight Diego Lopes kicked off the Sunday evening with a second-round KO of American Steve Garcia before Colorado’s Bo Nickal stopped countryman Kyle Daukaus in one round.

Mauricio Ruffy scored the quickest KO of the card against Michael Chandler in the next fight, and the momentum continued when Josh Hokit got the better of Derrick Lewis at heavyweight.

Sean O’Malley was up next, and ‘Suga’ did exactly what he promised, flattening Canadian Aiemann Zahabi with a nasty right hand.

The co-main event witnessed Alex Pereira‘s debut as a heavyweight, but the Brazilian failed to become the UFC’s first three-division champion against Ciryl Gane.

Gane became the interim champion with his brutal yet somewhat controversial stoppage of Pereira and is now expected to rematch Tom Aspinall next for undisputed gold.

Gaethje then concluded the evening with one of the sport’s biggest upsets when he put a beating on Topuria, forcing ‘El Matador’ to retire on his stool after four rounds.

UFC CEO Dana White had a front-row seat for the action alongside US President Donald Trump, and the pair entered the Octagon to close the show with a fireworks display above the White House.
