Tyson Fury vs Arslanbek Makhmudov betting tips: Selections for Fury’s heavyweight comeback in London
Former unified world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury returns to the ring to take on Arslanbek Makhmudov at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in north London on Saturday night.
The Morecambe man was once the king of the big-hitting division, but there is now a big question as to how much the 37-year-old has left to give.

Tyson Fury vs Arslanbek Mukhmudov Tips
Faded king set to be dethroned
Tyson Fury is a former unified world champion, a British, European and Commonwealth king and the 37-year-old remains one of the biggest entertainers in boxing.
However, there have to be serious doubts as to how much the Gypsy King has left to give.
Fury is back from another retirement after close to 16 months inactive. So will there be ring rust?
The Brit has been out of the ring well over a year, there are a series of gruelling fights on his record and Fury hasn’t always enjoyed the healthiest lifestyle outside of the ring.
The Gypsy King came out on top of his trilogy of bouts against Deontay Wilder, in terms of results, but Saturday’s contest between Derek Chisora and Wilder showed how shot the American now is and Fury may be in the same boat.
He arrives in north London following two bruising defeats to Oleksandr Usyk, and while the British man ran the heavyweight king close in the first bout between the pair, Fury looked to have regressed in the second contest.
Prior to the defeats to the Ukrainian, the Gypsy King was not at his best when claiming a split-decision success over novice Francis Ngannou and it’s now three years since Fury’s last victory.
Arslanbek Makhmudov is no young and up and coming star, but the Russian did look impressive when dominating Dave Allen last time out.
Allen isn’t a top-level heavyweight, but the Doncaster dueller was in the form of his life going into that fight, but wasn’t given a squeak by Makhmudov.
The 36-year-old showed he has the conditioning and desire for a 12-round battle when beating Allen in November and going the distance should be the least of Makhmudov’s hopes.
Earlier victories over Ricardo Brown and Carlos Takam rate as decent form. And while the Russian is far from a young rookie, he only turned professional in 2017 and is fairly fresh after contesting only 23 contests.
There is no doubt that Fury has been a superior boxer, and has the better form, but the best of the Gypsy King’s efforts are a long way in the past.
Added to long periods of inactivity and poor recent performances there have to be some major doubts over Fury’s ability to return to the top of the sport.
Makhmudov is a fresher, more active and in-form fighter and that could close the gap in ability between the pair in north London on Saturday night.
The bout appears a banker to go over 8.5 rounds and a small wager on a Makhmudov upset can also be considered.
