Tottenham striker Dominic Solanke wanted by Premier League rivals to replace £69m star
As Tottenham’s Premier League woes continue, star striker Dominic Solanke is being targeted by Premier League rivals Newcastle.
Those already sure of their top-flight status are mulling over picking the bones out of the troubled Londoners, with the forward a key target for the Toon, according to reports.

Spurs aren’t yet in the relegation zone, but a horrific run of form sees them one point ahead of Nottingham Forest and West Ham in 16th position.
The Europa League holders – hit by a raft of injuries and suspensions – haven’t won since December 28.
Their calamitous 3-1 loss to Crystal Palace – ironically the team they beat last – was their 11th game in the Premier League without victory.
That run has included seven defeats – six of those coming since Solanke’s return from an ankle injury.
However, the centre-forward has been a rare bright spot with his hard-working displays.
He also has three goals in that time, including two vital strikes against Man City, with one of those a Goal of the Season contender, coming via a scorpion kick.
He said after the strike: “It’s great work from Conor, as soon as he went I thought, ‘this is my moment.’ It was a crazy feeling watching it go in. I’m doing a roly-poly as I see it going into the back of the net!
“It’s a very rare goal to score. We don’t see many of those go in. Obviously, it’s nice to try it, but when it works, it’s one in a million. It’s definitely one of the best goals I’ve ever scored. It’s a goal that I’m going to watch back a lot for sure.”
Solanke also netted in the most recent loss to Crystal Palace, flicking home from an excellent Archie Gray move.
It was he who had to face the media after, and cut a composed figure despite the chaos around him.

Solanke said: “We’ve just had a big conversation. We know the position we are in is definitely not where we want to be so we need to figure out how we are going to get out of it as soon as possible.
“We know there’s been difficulties but we’re not in a position to make any excuses anymore.
“We need to do the job on the pitch and I think it is easy to say that we want to be better, but we need to make sure we are better on the pitch.”
As such, his form, despite the lengthy injury absence has him on Newcastle wanted list.
talkSPORT understands the Magpies will sell their current starting striker, Nick Woltemade, as he’s unhappy at the club.
Solanke would be a smart replacement for the forward, if Spurs are relegated and forced to sell.

Toon boss Eddie Howe worked with the 28-year-old at Bournemouth too, which could help any possible transfer.
Woltemade, a £69million summer signing, has had ups and downs since his arrival at St James’ Park
He’s scored seven goals in 25 Premier League matches but hasn’t netted in the competition since December 20 when he hit a double against Chelsea.
The German has one strike since then in 20 appearances across all competitions.
His national team boss Julian Nagelsmann still has faith in the forward, despite the downturn in form, and he should still head to the World Cup this summer.
