Tony Finau is doing everything he can to get into the Masters

The Masters Tournament is next week and that is extremely exciting for about 99.9% of the world.

There is that extra bit, though. While the “others” are not necessarily not excited, they are dealing with some stress and anxiety as they are trying to get into the tournament of all tournaments.

Simply put, some professional golfers are not in the Masters field at this moment and need certain results at the final event before (this week’s Valero Texas Open) to punch a ticket. One such player is Tony Finau.

As is pointed out, Finau has to win the VTO to ensure a tee time at Augusta National next week. Through the opening two rounds in San Antonio he is T3 at 9-under, but he trails Bob MacIntyre by five strokes that he is going to have to make up over the weekend.

Finau is giving it all he has, for what it’s worth. Through the first two rounds of the Valero he is the only player in the field to card multiple eagles. That is letting it all hang out there to say the least.

Best of luck to Finau over the weekend.
