With just weeks left for the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026 in the USA, Mexico, and Canada, the promotions for the tournament have already started pouring in. With multiple Hollywood stars linked to this year’s FIFA World Cup, Timothée Chalamet’s involvement in the cup was recently teased alongside Lionel Messi and others.

In the latest Adidas advert launched for the World Cup, Chalamet’s fans spotted his own jersey hanging up amongst some of the greatest of the game. While the new Adidas advert began with Lionel Messi’s iconic blue & white jersey, it was followed by Lamine Yamal, Bellingham, Trinity Rodman, and even Bad Bunny, before finishing up with Chalamet’s iconic lavender colored Number 26 jersey.

The promotion received major praise and compliments from the fans who started registering their interest in purchasing it. “Will we be able to buy those?” asked one fan. While another one wrote, “My boy is cross cultural.” “He never gets tired of making me want to spend money,” wrote another Timothée Chalamet fan. “Timmy and soccer, oh my god I need this,” commented another fan.

Update: FIFA and Adidas have now released the new ad campaign featuring Chalamet with Bad Bunny, Messi, and other soccer stars from all around the world. The campaign begins with Chalamet calling Bunny and saying, “What do I know about soccer? Nothing. I know about football, Benito. Football.”

It then features a street-style soccer game and crew, while Lionel Messi, Bad Bunny, and Zinedine Zidane hypes them up. It then follows up by showing brief clips of soccer stars, Ousmane Dembélé, Lamine Yamal, Jude Bellingham, Sir David Beckham, Alessandro Del Piero, Trinity Rodman, Florian Wirtz, Santiago Gimenez, Raphinha, Pedri, and a crew of three unknown child/teenage soccer sensations, Isaak, Ruthie, and Clive.
