Uttoxeter

• 15.00: Secret Trix 6/4 (1pt)
• 15.30: Regal Renaissance 2/1 (1pt)

Hamilton

• 15.51: Eternal Force 11/8 (1pt)

Secret Trix

It’s been a bit too long since seeing Tiger Orchid winning to be confident or even comfortable backing him to win today.

Especially up against Secret Trix, who as a course and distance winner holds solid potential and is of course the favourite for a multitude of reasons.

Additionally, the other rivals don’t have much to shout about whereas Secret Trix has been close up in recent runs to suggest he’s got the potential to wrap up this race late on.

Regal Renaissance

This is another one where it’s really hard to side with any other rival.

Regal Renaissance has the better distance, chase and recent form coming into this.

The rest have been struggling over fences whereas this favourite who’s appealing at 2/1 won last time out chasing.

Sean Bowen is deployed for the first time and also a first run for trainer Jack Jones.

For the others to win they’d have to take a massive step forward over both trip and fences which doesn’t seem likely right now given prior form.

Eternal Force

Trainer William Haggas and jockey Tom Marquand are in great form this season.

Eternal Force went 3/3 after being gelded, going up from a rating of 83 to 96.

That rise in the weights showed well enough that it shouldn’t prohibit him from further improvements as he placed a close enough seventh at Doncaster in the Lincoln Handicap, makes huge appeal.
