Decade Of Time

Harmonics and Evanesco’s form ties in together going close at Royal Ascot last month, both a few lengths off of the winner in the Golden Gates Stakes.

Ciarrai Abu should appeal more as this gelding has always gone close, even in his last two defeats. He takes on 1m2f for the first time, largely unexposed and this race is much tougher – though he handled the same step up at Ascot in July to beat Crest Of Fire, so he could be on the rise again.

Dial Me In is a similar rating to Ciarrai Abu but has had two runs beyond 1m2f already and those two races were a higher pedigree of races, one being the Auction Race at Roscommon won by the 100-rated stablemate Nil Bua Gan Dua.

The next was the King George V Stakes at 1m4f in Class 2 company – but that form at Roscommon should be a sign of things to come.

Decade Of Time is a great price though and the three-year-old colt has won twice before going behind Heraldry.

Enceladus

Beat Al Azd at Royal Ascot in a field of 19 and that horse went on to win at Ascot again last week by over four lengths.

That kind of form is hard to come by even in this kind of a race.

Enceladus was caught up with by the handicapper with an 11lb rise, but Al Azd has since made that look a little light even still.

The colt carries 3lb less than Geryon and looks a solid chance to go one better for in-form trainer Joseph Patrick O’Brien.

Diamond Necklace

Next up is the Nassau Stakes where Diamond Necklace with Ryan Moore up is the big favourite.

She has won all her starts so far prompting her to be odds-on and looking ever-dangerous.

She’s picked up over £1million in winnings already as a three-year-old with half of that coming from her win at Chantilly in the French Derby last time out.

One drawback is that she’s never actually raced in Britain yet, only France and Ireland so it will be interesting to see how she fares as a result.
