Thunder fans in absolute awe of Alex Caruso’s unconscious 1st half vs. Spurs

The Oklahoma City Thunder have uncharacteristically come out flat in Game 1 of the series against the San Antonio Spurs. After a long break from the defending champions, Oklahoma City seemed to be a little rusty and out of it to start the Western Conference Finals. However, one player came out and jump-started his team back to life, and it’s none other than Alex Caruso.

Caruso came into the game early after the Spurs jumped out to a nine-point lead. Immediately, the two-time NBA champion made his impact felt in the game. His physical defense on Victor Wembanyama and timely shotmaking from three-point range kept the Thunder in the game despite San Antonio’s best efforts. Caruso’s effort in Game 1 did not go unnoticed, as fans were quick to praise the feisty guard for his contribution.

One Spurs fan hilariously said, “We making Caruso look like Jordan bro wtf,” while another fan said, “Alex Caruso is the best playoff performer on the Thunder.” After just one half, fans are already convinced that the guard should be the primary mark for Wembanyama all series long.

One NBA fan said it best, saying, “Caruso is Robert Horry 2.0.” The Thunder guard has a knack for stepping up in big moments. There’s a reason why he’s a two-time NBA champion: whether it was with Los Angeles or Oklahoma City, Caruso’s heart and hustle allows him to make a play at any time.

Caruso is up to 22 points on the night against the Spurs on a scorching 6-10 from three-point range. His defense against Wembanyama can’t be quantified in the scoresheet, but his presence has been felt on that end. Unfortunately, the Thunder continue to struggle against the Spurs in Game 1, finding themselves down by five points in the middle of the final quarter.
