Ligue 1 odds 2026/27: Can anyone stop PSG going six in a row?
Paris Saint-Germain have won five Ligue 1 titles in a row, setting a new club record in the process, and they are also back-to-back European champions following their dramatic victory over Arsenal in last season’s Champions League final.
It is no surprise, then, that the Ligue 1 odds 2026/27 have PSG as strong favourites to finish top of the table once again.
In this article, we analyse PSG and the potential challengers to their throne in Ligue 1, as well as taking a look at which French clubs could face English opposition in Europe.
Ligue 1 title odds 2026/27
The PSG title odds show that Luis Enrique’s men are overwhelming favourites after amassing 76 points and a +60 goal difference last season. Lens are the most credible challengers despite losing manager Pierre Sage to Crystal Palace over the summer.
Lille finished in the top three last term and will be looking to kick on again, while Marseille are not short of individual quality under their new boss Bruno Genesio. Lyon are also aiming to close the gap to PSG in 2026/27.
- Paris Saint-Germain – 1/6 with Betfred
- Marseille – 14/1 with Ladbrokes
- Monaco – 20/1 with Betway
- Lens – 20/1 with Star Sports
- Lille – 25/1 with BetVictor
Despite the relative merits of Marseille, Monaco, Lens and Lille, it would be a major surprise if PSG failed to win the Ligue 1 title in 2026/27.
PSG’s dominance and the chasing pack
The Ligue 1 winner odds underline PSG’s dominance compared to the rest of the field, but here is a closer look at the defending champions and their main competitors for the season ahead.
PSG under Luis Enrique
Five titles in a row speaks volumes about PSG’s strength in relation to the 17 other sides in Ligue 1. Not only that, but Luis Enrique’s team won the Champions League in 2024/25 and 2025/26, becoming only the second club to lift that trophy in consecutive years since the tournament was rebranded in 1992.
PSG’s squad is packed full of talent. Ousmane Dembele is the reigning Ballon d’Or holder, with Desire Doue and Kvicha Kvaratskhelia completing a star-studded attack.
Achraf Hakimi is arguably the best right-back around, while Vitinha in midfield and Marquinhos at centre-half are also world-class. That is an accurate word to describe coach Luis Enrique too.
PSG’s dominance is not necessarily a good thing for Ligue 1 as a whole, though, so many within French football are hoping to see them pushed harder this season.

The chasing pack
Lens were runners-up last season. They managed to keep pace with PSG for much of 2025/26, but towards the end of the campaign Luis Enrique’s side pulled clear at the summit of the standings.
Lens won the Coupe de France as well, but they have lost influential manager Pierre Sage to Crystal Palace. Dino Toppmoller is his replacement.
It went under the radar somewhat, but Lille finished third ahead of both Lyon and Marseille.
The appointment of Carlo Ancelotti’s son Davide is intriguing following Bruno Genesio’s move to Marseille, who have signed Facundo Medina and Timothy Weah among others. But Mason Greenwood, who scored 16 Ligue 1 goals last term, has joined Fenerbahce.
Paulo Fonseca is still in charge of Lyon, who finished fourth last time out. Afonso Moreira has left for Bayer Leverkusen, with Mads Bidstrup and Lois Openda among the newcomers at the Groupama Stadium.

Newly promoted sides and this year’s relegation play-off
Troyes are back in Ligue 1 after a three-year absence, while Le Mans have returned to the top tier following 16 years outside it. They are among the favourites to go down to Ligue 2, with Angers, Le Havre, Paris FC and Brest also viewed as relegation contenders by the bookies.
The bottom two teams will go straight down to the second division, while the 16th-place finishers will enter the relegation play-off, where they will take on the winner of the promotion play-off in Ligue 1.
Tip Le Mans to go back to Ligue 2 at 11/10 with bet365
Ligue 1 top scorer odds
PSG were the strongest side in Ligue 1 last season, but the top scorer was Esteban Lepaul, who scored 21 goals for Angers and Rennes – a relatively modest tally by the standards of Europe’s other major leagues.
Mason Greenwood (Marseille) and Joaquin Panichelli (Strasbourg) finished joint-second with 16 goals, but the former has moved to Turkey in the summer transfer market.
Monaco frontman Folarin Balogun, who found the back of the net 12 times in 2025/26, is another contender to finish as the league’s chief goal-getter, while Ousmane Dembele is PSG’s best bet.

Which Ligue 1 clubs could face English opposition in Europe?
The draws for the league phase of the Champions League, Europa League and Conference League are scheduled for the end of August. That is when we will learn the fixtures for the first part of all three competitions, but the table below indicates potential pairings of French and English sides.
Competition French clubs English clubs Champions League PSG, Lens, Lille, Lyon Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool, Aston Villa Europa League Rennes, Marseille Bournemouth, Sunderland, Crystal Palace Conference League Monaco Brighton & Hove Albion
PSG, Lens and Lille qualified automatically for the league phase of the Champions League, where they could come up against Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool or Aston Villa. Lyon are in the Champions League qualifiers, where they need to win one more tie to reach the league phase.
Rennes and Marseille have similarly earned direct spots in the league phase of the Europa League, where England will be represented by Bournemouth, Sunderland and Crystal Palace.
Before booking a place in the league phase of the Conference League, Monaco must win a two-legged play-off against either Hungarian outfit Ferencvaros or Gornik Zabrze of Poland.
My Ligue 1 title tips
Drawing on the latest Ligue 1 title odds and other markets, here are my betting suggestions for the 2026/27 season.
My Ligue 1 title/relegation acca
It is hard to look past PSG in the Ligue 1 title race. Luis Enrique’s side showed last season that they have the quality to triumph at home even when most of their focus is on the Champions League.
At the other end of the table, promoted side Le Mans are up against it in their bid to survive.

First Classique winner (PSG v Marseille)
A standalone market for France’s biggest rivalry fixture – writer’s pick, CTA line with odds.
PSG vs Marseille, known as Le Classique, is the biggest game in France. Marseille will be desperate to get one over on the reigning champions, although PSG will be favourites to win the next edition of this fixture on September 20.
Odds are not yet available, but we recommend tipping PSG to beat Marseille at the Stade Velodrome.
Title winner without PSG
Given PSG’s status as strong favourites to win the Ligue 1 title, better value can be found in the ‘Title winner without PSG’ market. It may take Bruno Genesio a few months to get his ideas across at Marseille, but OM are nevertheless the strongest of the chasing pack.
Tip Marseille to win the Ligue 1 title without PSG at 9/4 with bet365

PSG have won five Ligue 1 titles in a row, triumphing in 2021/22, 2022/23, 2023/24, 2024/25 and 2025/26. The last time they failed to finish top of France’s first division was in 2020/21, when Lille finished a point clear of the Parisians.
PSG’s five titles on the bounce is a club record, but it is not yet the best run in Ligue 1 history. Lyon claimed the championship crown in seven successive seasons between 2002 and 2008. That is no doubt PSG’s next target.
