World Cup week is here. The summer bonanza begins on Thursday and nearly every team has finalised their preparations for the tournament.

However there are a few nations who still have one final match left to play, with the Netherlands, Uzbekistan, Colombia, Jordan and France all in action on Monday.

Donyell Malen to score anytime @ 1/1

The Netherlands suffered a surprising 1-0 loss to Algeria on Wednesday evening in what was their penultimate match before the World Cup.

Despite managing 17 shots during the game, no goals were scored. Donyell Malen didn’t play well, however he will surely get another chance to impress against Uzbekistan on Monday evening.

With 15 goals during an excellent loan spell with Roma, he’s now made that move from Aston Villa permanent and is clearly in form, but he just endured a bad night at the office against the North Africans.

Uzbekistan might be easier to break down. As such, back Malen to score his first international goal since November 2025.

France to win both halves and to score over 1.5 goals @ 20/21

Like the Netherlands, France also suffered defeat last time out. Despite taking the lead against the Ivory Coast, Didier Deschamps’ men conceded two second-half goals to lose 2-1.

That result could well be a blessing in disguise, as Les Bleus will need to improve dramatically if they have any ambition of winning their third World Cup in North America.

Northern Ireland shouldn’t pose the same problems as the Ivory Coast, so expect the French to come out firing and to win both halves.

France have also scored three or more goals in four of their last seven international matches. Northern Ireland’s defence has been solid of late, but faced with a French side determined to put a loss behind them, it could be a long night ahead.

France -2 and Netherlands -1 @ 43/20

In recent months France have wins over Brazil, Colombia and Ukraine, scoring 22 goals over their last nine matches.

The loss to Ivory Coast will have hurt Deschamps and his men, perhaps giving rivals an insight into how to exploit them at the World Cup. With that in mind, nothing less than a big win on Monday will satisfy.

Ronald Koeman will also expect the Netherlands to bounce back from their recent defeat with a dominant display against Uzbekistan.

The Oranje won five of their eight qualifiers with two or more goals and there is no doubt a strong performance will bolster confidence ahead of their tournament opener against Japan.
