Steven Spielberg knows Disclosure Day NYC premiere was ‘second choice’ to Knicks’ Game 3

Just uptown of Madison Square Garden, Steven Spielberg’s Disclosure Day held its premiere at Lincoln Center as the New York Knicks and San Antonio Spurs played Game 3 of the NBA Finals.

He was aware of how much of a hot-ticket item Finals tickets were. The Associated Press’ Jack Coyle wrote on X, formerly Twitter, that Spielberg said, “We know if you couldn’t get Knicks tickets, this was your second choice,” to the crowd.

Obviously, those at Lincoln Center were likely happy with their decision to attend the premiere. This was one of the many premieres the film has had so far. On Tuesday, June 2, 2026, it had its world premiere at Le Grand Rex in Paris, France. Then, just two days later, it held its British premiere in London. The movie will be released in theaters on Friday, June 12. It marks Spielberg’s first feature film since The Fabelmans in 2022.

The Knicks lost Game 3 of the NBA Finals at MSG

While the festivities were happening at Lincoln Center, the Knicks were in a hard-fought contest against the Spurs. They had the lead going into the half, but the Spurs came roaring back.

They ultimately lost by four points. Victor Wembanyama led his team in scoring with 32 points, making 11 of his 18 shots. He also had eight rebounds and six assists.

Jalen Brunson also scored 32 points for the Knicks. However, he only made 11 of his 25 shots. That was still his most efficient game of the series thus far. OG Anunoby and Josh Hart really stepped up, scoring 28 and 16 points, respectively. Hart was left open several times, taking advantage and making four of his seven three-pointers.

The series will resume on Wednesday, June 10, with Game 4. The game will also be played at Madison Square Garden. Because the Spurs avoided the sweep and won Game 3, the series will return to San Antonio for Game 5.
