Stefon Diggs would be nasty fit next to Puka Nacua, Davante Adams on Rams

Stefon Diggs is one of the best free agents still available on the open market. It seems like just a matter of time until the receiver finds his next home. The four-time Pro Bowler was released by the New England Patriots after he helped the team reach Super Bowl 60. This was somewhat shocking, as the Maryland product actually led the team in receiving.

Diggs is now looking for his fourth team in as many years, and although he is past his prime, he still has plenty left in the tank. The player known for being on the receiving end of the Minneapolis Miracle has 942 career receptions for 11,504 yards and 74 touchdowns.

ESPN recently ranked the Los Angeles Rams as the best free agent fit for Diggs. Los Angeles has arguably the best receiver duo in the NFL with Puka Nacua and Davante Adams on the roster, but they lack depth after not adding a receiver until round six in the 2026 NFL Draft. With pick number 197, the team selected CJ Daniels from Miami.

The Rams have had one of the best offseasons this spring, but they can’t afford to stop their aggressive approach. After all, the team may only have one or two more championship pushes left in Matthew Stafford. The quarterback is fresh off winning MVP, but he is 38 years old. Considering Stafford’s athleticism will only regress going forward, surrounding the aging quarterback with as many weapons as possible makes sense.

Plus, the Rams invested a first-round pick in quarterback Ty Simpson. When he eventually takes over for Stafford, the Rams will want him to be as comfortable as possible. The Rams attempted 430 passes out of 11 personnel last season, so adding a third receiver star makes too much sense. Diggs is the best option available.
