Sean Strickland charged with disorderly conduct at UFC Freedom 250
Reportedly banned from attending the UFC Freedom 250 event at White House, UFC Middleweight Champion Sean Strickland still seemingly made his way to the event. However, his appearance came at a huge cost when he was allegedly charged with disorderly conduct. UFC Freedom 250 took place on Donald Trump’s birthday and was an event dedicated to the USA’s armies.
A social media video shared by Strickland showed him at the Freedom 250 Fan Fest, where he disrupted a fan event. Strickland was swarmed by fans as soon as he entered the WWE ring, requiring intervention from the security officers.
Strickland had previously claimed that he was banned from the Freedom 250 event due to the comments he made about both Jeffrey Epstein and Israel. Despite the alleged ban, he showed up at the event and had to be escorted out by security and removed from the premises.
Strickland later clarified on social media that he was charged with disorderly conduct, which is punishable for up to 90 days in jail and up to a $500 fine, based on it being a class B misdemeanor.
“I’m pretty sure I didn’t break a law. Like, I’m pretty sure. But I might be going to jail. I’m pretty sure we didn’t break no law,” Strickland said. “All right guys, I may have been charged with disorderly conduct. I don’t know what that is, but it sounds cool. Anyways, I just want to thank you, fans. Man, I can’t thank you guys enough. After being banned, you guys writing, supporting me, it means a lot to me, thank you,” the 35-year-old shared on social media.
UFC President Dana White had previously refused to address any claims/rumors surrounding Strickland’s ban. Strickland is also coming off his recent win over Khamzat Chimaev in which he secured the middleweight title for the second time.
