Seahawks’ New OC Brian Fleury is ‘The Man’ according to Grey Zabel
Seattle Seahawks guard Grey Zabel has complete belief in the team’s new offensive coordinator Brian Fleury.
When he recently talked about Fleury, Zabel had high praise for the team’s new OC, saying he “just seems like TheMan. com,” according to Greg Bell of the Tacoma News Tribune.
Fleury may just be in his first year on the job with the Seahawks, but he is under quite a pressure to deliver right away for the team’s offense.
After all, the man who held the job before him helped the Seahawks win it all in the 2025 NFL campaign, with Seattle beating the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl under Klint Kubiak’s offense. Since then, Kubiak has moved on from Seattle and parlayed that success into a head-coaching gig with the Las Vegas Raiders.
Under Kubiak, the Seahawks ranked third in the league in 2025 with an average of 28.4 points per game and seventh with 351.4 total yards per outing.
Fleury comes to Seattle after years on the San Francisco 49ers’ coaching staff, handling different positions, including run game coordinator and tight ends coach in 2025. This is just the first time that he’s been named an offensive coordinator for an NFL team.
In addition, Fleury previously worked for the Buffalo Bills and the Cleveland Browns and has experience coaching at the college level.
Zabel will look to help Fleury make a great impression in his new job in 2026, with the former North Dakota State football offensive lineman also aiming to take a big step forward after a rookie season in which he got a 57.3 overall grade from Pro Football Focus.
