Royals superstar Bobby Witt Jr. debuts new Under Armour cleats in Nationals game

The Kansas City Royals brought more than baseball to Nationals Park on Monday night. Fans received their first in-game look at star shortstop Bobby Witt Jr.’s new Under Armour cleats, with the Dream Pull design making its official debut during the club’s matchup vs. the Washington Nationals.

The release marks another step for Witt, who continues expanding his profile beyond the field. Under Armour products tied to the Royals superstar have grown in visibility since his rookie season, but this launch represents his first mass-market signature cleat line.

The Dream Pull collection draws inspiration from Witt’s passion for trading cards. The cleats feature a metallic silver upper, holographic paneling, iridescent chrome accents, and Gem Mint references. Fans will also notice his JR logo and signature on the tongue.

Talkin’ Baseball shared images on X, formerly Twitter, shortly before first pitch, showing the footwear as it prepared for its on-field debut.

The launch extends beyond footwear. Under Armour partnered with Panini to include an exclusive trading card inside every retail shoebox. Buyers can randomly receive either a Sneaker Spotlight card or a Color Blast insert, connecting gear with collecting culture.

The company also integrated the cleats into MLB The Show 2026’s Road to the Show mode. This strategy helps introduce Witt to younger audiences across multiple platforms while giving the release more reach than a standard equipment drop.

The two-time Silver Slugger enters Monday batting .287 with 82 hits, nine home runs, 28 RBI, and 36 runs scored in 72 games. The Royals, sitting at 29-43 and last in the AL Central, need his production as they trail the Nationals 2-0 with two outs in the top of the fourth inning of the series opener.

Physical pairs of the Dream Pull cleats officially arrive Thursday through Under Armour, DICK’S Sporting Goods, Academy Sports, and other retailers. For Kansas City, Monday served as the unveiling of a line built around one of baseball’s most marketable young stars.
