Ronda Rousey namedrops Paddy Pimblett in explosive rant at UFC champion over comeback fight

Ronda Rousey went on an astonishing rant attacking Kayla Harrison while claiming her return is one of the biggest events ever.

Rousey will return to MMA for the first time since 2016 after her UFC defeat to Amanda Nunes.

She will take on Gina Carano in a huge event promoted by Jake Paul live on Netflix, with the card featuring Nate Diaz and Francis Ngannou.

The trailblazer was on stage yesterday with Carano to promote her return, and was in fantastic brash-talking form.

Prior to the fight, a row had heated up between herself and several leading UFC fighters including title-holder Kayla Harrison.

Harrison labelled Rousey and her imminent bow irrelevant, which rubbed the female superstar up the wrong way.

And on stage, she burst into a phenomenal rant which even drew a cheer from the watching crowd and media.

She shouted: “I am so relevant that the only reason [Harrison] has a job at the UFC is because of me.

“Kayla is so irrelevant that she couldn’t even keep the 145-pound division around.

“Honestly, she’s just sour because no matter what she does or what she accomplishes, she can’t change the fact that she has the charisma of a wet towel and will always be in me and Gina’s shadow.

“So the next time she wants to talk s***, she should look down at her feet and consider who paved the road that she’s walking on.

“Oh wait, she can’t look down at her feet because she’s too busy holding onto the belt in a neck brace.

“And then she goes on and says that I lied about training in judo in Canada in, like, 2006. Who the f*** are you to call me a liar, OK? I was training there for five months. B**ch, you weren’t even there.”

Rousey clearly has no time for Harrison, and should she continue her comeback beyond this point, a spiky narrative is building for a potential clash.

Rousey – Harrison isn’t bigger than Pimblett but he’s got potential

Rousey then went on to use British UFC star Paddy Pimblett as an example to the magnitude of Harrison.

The b**ch isn’t even bigger than Paddy Pimblett,” she continued.

“Why is she getting paid less now than I was 10 years ago? Riddle me this b**ch.”

But she instantly backtracked and issued praise to the Liverpudlian.

“No offense to Paddy,” she quickly added.

“I think he’s got more potential than anyone else in the UFC, and he should call me when his contract runs out.”
