Rockets’ Kevin Durant blasts ‘lame’ Colin Cowherd, wants Nick Wright banished from NBA takes

Houston Rockets All-Star Kevin Durant put Fox Sports 1’s NBA analysts Colin Cowherd and Nick Wright on blast for their recent takes. This week, Durant attended the MLB All-Star Game in Philadelphia, but also had time to post his feelings about Cowherd and Wright on social media.

While Durant complemented Phillies fans at the All-Star Game, he had time for his haters. Although X, formerly Twitter, is typically Durant’s platform of choice when it comes to calling people out, he chose to blast Cowherd and Wright on his Instagram story, per The Athletic’s Devon Henderson.

“Pack that lame (Colin Cowherd) up,” Durant wrote.

Then, Durant called out Wright in his 24-hour story on Instagram.

“Basketball would actually move forward if (Nick Wright) wasn’t involved. Hold up,” Durant added.

Colin Cowherd and Nick Wright aren’t the only analysts Durant has called out before. ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith has been a target in the past, as Kevin isn’t shy about calling out analysts.

“I don’t talk to Stephen A. Smith at all. Nobody in my family — my friends — they don’t talk to Stephen A. Smith. So, he’s lying.”

He again addressed the rampant rumors involving his upcoming free agency with another shot at Smith.

“If you ask me a question, I’ll talk about them,” Durant told reporters in 2015. “But like I said before, I have people who I talk to about everything, and I know for a fact they didn’t talk to him, so he’s making up stories.”

Smith, who’s never shy when it comes to responding to someone putting him on blast, was quick to remind Rockets’ Kevin Durant that he’s not the one to make enemies with.

Smith later fired back at Durant with an on-air rant on “First Take” that included a veiled warning to the Rockets All-Star.

“You don’t want to make an enemy out of me,” Smith said.

It’ll be interesting to see how Cowherd and Wright will respond to Durant.
