Rochdale v York – National League title decider: Get £30 in free bets with Sky Bet

A blockbuster winner takes all clash takes place on Saturday lunchtime in the final round of National League fixtures, as promotion rivals Rochdale and York go head to head for a straight shoot out for a place in League Two.

Sky Bet are offering new customers £30 in free bets to those who place a bet on any of the footballing action between now and the end of the season, an offer which can be claimed by following this link*.

Two points currently separate the two teams heading into the final day of the National League season, with hosts Rochdale, despite having racked up 105 points already in the campaign, sitting two points behind their opponents.

There is only one automatic promotion place in the National League, with the second place finishers having to go through the play-offs as they get a second chance at promotion.

Despite being away from home for the all important decider, York head into Saturday’s clash as marginal favourites for victory having won their last five matches to overtake their promotion rivals into pole position, needing only a draw to guarantee their return to the EFL for the first time since their relegation 10 years.

Stuart Maynard’s side boast the best away record in the fifth tier all season and have also already beaten Saturday’s opponents twice this season, an away win in the FA Cup was followed up by a 4-1 home thrashing in the league back in November.

Rochdale have led the league table for the majority of the season, reaching the summit initially at the end of September but a run of just two wins in six matches through March and April saw them lose hold of their position in the only automatic promotion spot.

Managed by former Barnsley defender Jim McNulty in his first managerial job, the Dale have since recovered to string together back to back wins ahead of this weekend but needed a 99th minute winner to beat already relegated Braintree last weekend to take the title race to the final day.

The Manchester side have won 10 of their 12 matches at home since the turn of the year though, including five of their last six, and will fancy their chances at upsetting the odds to secure promotion back to the EFL after three seasons in non-league.
