Ravens sign ex-Seahawks, Texans safety

The Baltimore Ravens are still adding players to the roster as we get closer and closer to football returning. On Monday, the team announced that they have signed safety K’Von Wallace, who recently played for the Houston Texans and the Seattle Seahawks before that.

“Baltimore may deploy three safeties frequently under Head Coach Jesse Minter, with Kyle Hamilton, Malaki Starks, and Jaylinn Hawkins leading that group. Wallace will likely compete with second-year player Keondre Jackson and others for the No. 4 safety role. The Ravens didn’t use any of their 11 draft picks on a safety.”

Wallace has had a solid six seasons in the NFL. In 74 games total, he’s racked up 177 tackles (129 solo) with one forced fumble, one interception, and eight pass deflections. He has been a part of five organizations in total, playing for the Arizona Cardinals, Tennessee Titans, and Philadelphia Eagles to begin his career.

The Ravens brought in former Vanderbilt quarterback Diego Pavia for a workout and then immediately signed him to a 3-year deal to compete as a backup behind Lamar Jackson. Head coach Jesse Minter had some strong words for Pavia on showcasing what he can do.

“For us, we see it as an opportunity to bring a player in that could potentially be something, and that’s really what this is for us,” Minter added.

Pavia has the ability to become a great player in the NFL, despite his size. Seeing him suit up for the Ravens as a backup behind Lamar would certainly be something to witness.
