Randy Orton drops encouraging revelation on current WWE contract length
At WWE WrestleMania 42 Night One, Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton clashed in the main event in a brutal and violent match. Both men took each other to their limits and left the stadium bloodied.
However, just days before wrestling at WrestleMania 42, Orton appeared for an interview with The Schmo, where he opened up about his contract length. “I do have four years left on my contract.”
He also opened up and hilariously shared his intentions of following a schedule similar to WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker and only appearing at WrestleManias. “Maybe when that’s over [existing contract], I’ll get The Undertaker schedule and pop around for WrestleMania every year and then ride until the wheels fall off, literally.”
Orton, 46, has remained a part of the WWE roster since 2002. Two years ago, ahead of Bash in Berlin in 2024, Orton also confirmed signing a five-year contract with WWE. “I just signed a five-year extension to my contract,” Orton said. “I’ve got some time left to do this. I feel better than I’ve felt in over a decade.”
Randy Orton reveals WWE retirement plans
Now moving closer to 50, Randy Orton, during his appearance on The Pat McAfee Show a few months ago, opened up about his retirement plans. “I’m 46 in a couple of months, and, you know, I can’t do this forever,” he acknowledged. “I’ve been doing it for 26 years. If I could do it another decade, I will. The work rate, the way that I wrestle, you know, maybe I could pull that out.”
