Premier League striker power rankings – Erling Haaland drops as goals dry up with in-form £30m star taking top spot
Erling Haaland was on an incredible goal-scoring streak, but as his form dries up, other stars are boosting their reputation.
This is the latest edition of talkSPORT’s Premier League striker power rankings.

Each week, talkSPORT.com has their say on who the top ten strikers in the English top flight are.
These rankings will update on a week-to-week basis depending on how they perform, meaning a striker who is ranked second one week could easily fall a few spots should they play poorly in their next game.
These rankings were also based on a combination of five key metrics: goals scored, goals scored per 90 minutes, expected goals (xG), conversion rate as well as shots on target per 90.
Read on to see the latest update of talkSPORT’s Premier League striker power rankings!
10th – Callum Wilson (West Ham)
Last ranking: No rank
Callum Wilson has come into his own over the last few weeks, getting some game time for West Ham after a slow start.
And with the Hammers in need of striker, it was bizarre that the 33-year-old didn’t get more minutes after joining in the summer.
Now he’s playing more, Wilson already has four goals to his name, quickly becoming the club’s top scorer this season.
Three of those have come in the last two games, seeing him rise to fifth in the goals per 90 minutes rankings this term.
He’s also fifth in the best conversion rate standings with 28.6 per cent and second behind Erling Haaland for most shots on target per 90, racking up an average of 1.63.

9th – Joao Pedro (Chelsea)
Last ranking: No rank
Since the last update on this list, Joao Pedro has managed to find some goals for Chelsea, helped by Liam Delap‘s absence.
The Brazilian netted the winner against Tottenham and then another against Wolves in November, helping the Blues on their title push.
Pedro hadn’t scored since August before those goals, but they’ve managed to get him a place in these rankings.
He’s in the top 10 for xG this season with 4.07, while he also has one of the highest average shots on target per 90 minutes.
His four-goal tally for the season makes him Chelsea’s top scorer – and he could have more if he didn’t have to deeper at times.

8th – Zian Flemming (Burnley)
Last ranking: No rank
A surprise name enters the list next, with Burnley front man Zian Flemming having a storming few weeks in the Premier League.
Flemming has four goals this season, with all of them coming in his last six appearances for the Clarets.
He netted twice versus Wolves in a big win before going on to score against West ham and Brentford last time out.
The Dutch striker has the sixth-highest goals per 90 minutes and is in the top 20 in the Premier League for conversion rate.
On top of that, Flemming averages a shot on target per game.

7th – Lukas Nmecha (Leeds)
Last ranking: No rank
Just ahead of Flemming is another forward from a promoted side, with Lukas Nmecha officially arriving in England.
He’s found the net in every game but one in November, scoring in all of Leeds’ last three Premier League outings.
Daniel Farke‘s side may have been beaten in those matches, but without Nmecha they’d be in a world of trouble.
The German front man has the 17th-highest xG this season and the third highest goals per 90 minute average with 0.84.
He’s also in the top five for shots on targer per 90 and shot conversion rate, with his stats mightily impressive on paper.

6th – Richarlison (Tottenham)
Last ranking: No rank
The last new name on this ranking list is Richarlison, who has found his shooting boots in the last month or so.
He scored a stunning long-range goal in the north London derby in November, after netting against Manchester United too.
His 0.58 shots on target per game is in the top ten in the Premier League, with his 25 per cent conversion rate in it as well.
The Brazilian continues to be a regular starter under Thomas Frank, with Dominic Solanke still sidelined.
Results haven’t come for Spurs recently, but one thing’s for sure, Richarlison will leave it all out there and his five goals makes him their highest scorer so far this season.

5th – Nick Woltemade (Newcastle United)
Last ranking: 2nd
Nick Woltemade drops down to fifth from second in the list after a November that only included one goal.
Newcastle went through a rough patch at the start of the month and it meant that Woltemade’s goals dried up.
He did find the net against Everton in neat fashion last time out though, and his stats since coming to England are impressive.
The 23-year-old is the joint-sixth highest scorer this season, sitting in the top 10 for two key striker metrics.
Woltemade has a 4.19 xG and averages a goal every other game.

4th – Danny Welbeck (Brighton)
Last ranking: 4th
Danny Welbeck continues to be one of the most in-form strikers in the Premier League and he’s stayed in fourth.
Welbeck has seven goals this campaign, with all of them coming in his last eight league appearances for Brighton.
The 34-year-old has brought himself back into the conversation of an England call-up with his form and the stats back it up.
He has the highest shot conversion rate for striker’s in the top flight with 36.8 per cent, while also being fourth in goals per 90.
Welbeck is also sixth for xG in the entire league, with just the three players ahead of him in this list registering more.

3rd – Jean-Philippe Mateta (Crystal Palace)
Last ranking: 3rd
Staying in third in the list is Jean-Philippe Mateta, who now has seven goals this season for Crystal Palace.
Mateta has the second highest xG in the Premier League with 8.75 and averages 1.54 shots on target per game.
Despite that though, he doesn’t rank too highly with his shot conversion rate, which has appeared to be his weakness.
But the Frenchman remains a constant threat and is averaging more than a goal every other game for Palace.
His penalty against Manchester United was the one of his four shots in total that found the back of the net.

2nd – Erling Haaland (Manchester City)
Last ranking: 1st
Haaland still has some incredible stats this season, but his recent form in front of goal sees him drop down the list.
The Manchester City superstar has accumulated over 12xG, is still averaging a goal per game and has two shots on target a game.
His 14 goals are the highest in the Premier League, however, he’s hit a rough patch for City.
He’s not scored in his last two, with his form faltering at the end of November as he blanked despite five shots against Newcastle.
Haaland only managed one shot against Leeds last time out too – but he’s sure to be back in the goals in no time.

1st – Igor Thiago (Brentford)
Last ranking: 6th
The biggest winner of the last few weeks has been Igor Thiago.
Thiago has found some incredible form, taking his tally up to 11 this season to sit only behind Haaland in the scoring charts.
Four goals from the end of September to November built up momentum for him to add another five last month.
Three penalties and two open play goals have helped him and Brentford rise up the league table.
The Brazilian has an 8.73 xG this season, has averaged 0.90 goals per game and with 1.5 shots on target per 90, which all see him inside the top three among every striker in the top flight.
