Paddy Pimblett slams rival who called him out after watching ‘boring’ UFC 327 fight
Paddy Pimblett believes ‘nobody cares’ about Mateusz Gamrot after being shocked to learn he was fighting at UFC 327.
Gamrot, the No. 8-ranked UFC lightweight, submitted Esteban Ribovics on the preliminary card of the Miami event to score his ninth UFC victory and get back in the winning column.

The 35-year-old needed to bounce back from defeat, having lost to current BMF champion Charles Oliveira in the main event of UFC Rio last October.
Pimblett, meanwhile, hasn’t fought since losing a unanimous decision to Justin Gaethje at UFC 324.
Following his Las Vegas headliner, ‘The Baddy’ was called out by numerous fellow 155lb fighters, including Gamrot, who said the Liverpudlian’s loss ‘brought him back down to earth.’
Despite the Pole’s win, it seems Pimblett is far from interested in facing Gamrot next based on his reaction to the latter’s fight at UFC 327.
Pimblett: Gamrot is boring and no one cares
“Wow, is this Gamrot? Gamrot’s fighting?” Pimblett said on his YouTube channel when the Polish lightweight appeared on his screen.
“I didn’t even know Gamrot was fighting.
“No one gives a f*** about him, it’s mad.
“He’s ranked eight and he’s fighting on the prelims.
“This is Gamrot’s second fight in three fights that he’s fighting someone unranked and he’s in the top 10.
“Genuinely just shows nobody cares about him.”

Pimblett later admitted that although Gamrot has ‘high-level wrestling,’ he ‘doesn’t really do much’ when he takes his opponents to the canvas.
He added: “Gamrot fights are boring—he’s not even attempting to hit him.”
Gamrot is the last man to defeat current No. 1 lightweight contender Arman Tsarukyan, and Pimblett believes he should be calling the Armenian fighter out next to get closer to a title shot.
When is Pimblett returning to UFC?
As for Pimblett, the 31-year-old wants to make a comeback during international fight week at UFC 329 on July 11.
Gaethje is now booked to face lightweight champion Ilia Topuria in the main event of UFC Freedom 250.
That means Pimblett is likely to find himself up against one of Oliveira, Max Holloway or Benoit Saint Denis next.
