NFL Draft scouts gushing over Jordyn Tyson’s pro day workout
The 2026 NFL Draft is set to begin on April 23. With the draft quickly approaching, former Arizona State Sun Devils wide receiver Jordyn Tyson held his pro day workout on Friday. As it turns out, the scouts are falling in love with him.
18 teams reportedly attended Tyson’s pro day workout, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Over half of the league wanted to get eyes on the 21-year-old wideout, who is projected to be a first-round pick.
“18 NFL teams are expected to attend Jordyn Tyson’s workout today at Arizona State,” reported Schefter.
One scout revealed that Tyson showcased brilliant athleticism to teams in attendance at his workout, according to Pete Thamel of ESPN. Scouts also seemed to like that Tyson looked healthy, which had been a knock throughout the draft process.
“[Tyson] showed the twitch, explosiveness, and leaping ability we all saw in the fall,” said an unnamed scout. “He showed he’s healthy and still explosive, which is all he needed to do.”
Thamel also reported that two teams, the New York Giants and Miami Dolphins, had their general managers watching Tyson on Friday. The Giants own the No. 5 pick overall, while the Dolphins own pick No. 11.
If Tyson can remain healthy, then he is believed to be one of the best wide receiver prospects in this year’s NFL Draft. He was hindered by a hamstring issue during the 2025-26 campaign at Arizona State, which forced him to miss several games. That injury lingered into the offseason, as he was unable to participate in the NFL Combine.
When he was on the field, Jordyn Tyson was undoubtedly the best wideout on the Sun Devils’ roster. In 24 total games played at Arizona State over a three-season stretch, the redshirt junior recorded 136 receptions for 1,812 yards and 18 touchdowns.
