Neymar reportedly slapped Santos teammate Robinho Jr in a heated training ground bust-up.

The Brazilian winger is claimed to have seen red after the 18-year-old – son of disgraced ex-Manchester City and Real Madrid forward Robinho – dribbled past him.

According to Globo Esporte, Barcelona icon Neymar was left incensed by the antics of the teenager during training on Sunday morning.

Neymar and Robinho Jr were only involved in the session having not featured in Santos’ 1-1 draw against Palmeiras on Saturday.

It has been said that the ex-Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona star lost his temper with the right winger after asking him to ‘take it easy’ on him.

And after feeling as though he had been disrespected, Neymar and his teammate are accused of then squaring up to one another.

Both men are said to have engaged in a pushing and shoving match, with Neymar alleged to have then slapped the youngster.

It has also been stated that a furious Neymar tripped Robinho Jr.

Globo claim that such was the impact of the trip, that Robinho Jr was sent ‘flying off the ground’.

The duo were eventually pulled apart from each other, before being ejected from training.

Robinho Jr’s representatives are alleged to have made complaints over Neymar’s conduct to the club’s president Marcelo Teixeira.

However, the dramatic incident is said to have resulted in the two players eventually making up.

Neymar is reported to have spoken with the Santos academy graduate before they both left the Rei Pele Training Center.

He is said to have apologised to the player over his ‘impulsive behaviour’.

Meanwhile, ESPN have stated that Neymar sent messages to his family as he looked to put the incident behind them.

It remains to be seen now as to whether the duo will be in action for Santos in their upcoming Copa Sudamericana group stage clash against Paraguayan outfit Recoleta FC.

Neymar is believed to have a close relationship with Robinho Jr, with their bond likened to that of a ‘godfather and godson’.

The former Al Hilal man played alongside his father Robinho Sr for both Santos and Brazil.

Robinho, who earned 100 caps for the Selecao between 2003-2017, began serving a nine-year prison sentence in March 2024 for rape.

He was initially found guilty by an Italian court in 2017 for taking part in the gang rape of a 22-year-old Albanian woman in 2013.
