Daniel Farke is currently the odds on favourite to be the next Premier League manager to leave after the club fell to their fifth defeat in their last six matches over the weekend, and their third in succession.
Sunday afternoon’s 2-1 defeat at home against Aston Villa, despite having been leading at half time, has seen the Whites drop into the relegation zone for the first time this season.
The German became Leeds manager in the summer of 2023 following the club’s relegation from the Premier League, achieving promotion back to the top flight at the second time of asking, racking up a century of points last season after losing the play-off final in his first campaign.
Much was made of Farke’s record in the Premier League over the summer though; after finishing rock bottom with Norwich in 2020, Farke managed only 11 games of the 2021-22 season before being sacked from the Canaries with just five points to their name.
But five defeats in his last five six, including against fellow strugglers Burnley and Nottingham Forest, has left his position looking precarious with fixtures against Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool to come in their next three games.
Next Premier League manager to go odds (talkSPORT BET)
- Daniel Farke – 8/11
- Arne Slot – 5/1
- Marco Silva – 6/1
- Thomas Frank – 10/1
- Eddie Howe – 10/1
- Scott Parker – 10/1
- 20/1 BAR
Liverpool manager Arne Slot is deemed by some to be in danger in his role after the Reds fell to a shock 3-0 home defeat by Nottingham Forest on Saturday afternoon, a side who had started the 19th in the Premier League table.
The defending Premier League champions have now lost seven of their last eight domestic matches, including six of their last seven in the league, which has seen the club, who were five points clear at the top of the league at the start of this run, now drop into the bottom half.
As a result, the pressure is now on the Dutchman to start turning their results around quickly, with the former Feyenoord manager priced as the second favourite to be the next Premier League boss sacked at 5/1.
There are those also considering Tottenham manager Thomas Frank to be under pressure now too following their thrashing by Arsenal in the north London derby on Sunday evening, their heaviest defeat against their biggest rivals om 13 years.
Spurs have only won one of their last five matches in all competitions, a run which includes three defeats and has seen them drop down to ninth in the Premier League table, though still a marked improvement on their 17th placed finish last season.
