New Toy Story 5 billboard, Travis Kelce seemingly hint at Taylor Swift role

Despite the directors of Toy Story 5 denying Taylor Swift’s rumored involvement in the movie, a new billboard and recent comments by fiancé Travis Kelce suggest otherwise.

Maybe Disney and Pixar are just leaning into the craze. After all, Swifties have a proven track record of hyping up any announcements involving their favorite singer.

The new billboard features the iconic Toy Story wallpaper from Andy’s room with the white clouds. It reads, “TS,” and it notably features 13 (Swift’s favorite number) clouds.

Kelce then gave a “shoutout” to Randy Newman on his New Heights podcast. Even he had to acknowledge that it was “another Toy Story reference.”

The billboards come after Toy Story 5 co-director Andrew Stanton shot down the rumors of the singer’s involvement. He claimed the rumors “surprised” the crew, and while they’d be “freakin’ honored,” he assured the interviewer that “the sad truth is we watched the movie being mixed last week, and the song on the end of that was not [a] Taylor Swift song.”

Do the billboard and Travis Kelce’s comment confirm Taylor Swift’s involvement in Toy Story 5?

Fans will still have to wait and see if Swift is involved with the upcoming sequel. The movie is set to be released on June 19, 2026, and if Swift’s in it in any capacity, Disney and Pixar will likely want to keep it a secret for as long as possible.

The “Cruel Summer” singer being involved in Toy Story 5 would make a lot of sense. It all started after her website started a countdown on Apr. 30, 2026, that featured blue skies and white clouds, highly reminiscent of the Toy Story wallpaper.

Plus, Toy Story 5’s release date falls on the 20th anniversary of her debut single, “Tim McGraw.” Perhaps she re-recorded it for the soundtrack.

Swift has a longstanding relationship with Disney. Her Eras Tour concert films were issued on the Disney+ streaming service, and a six-part documentary series about the tour was produced by it as well. Disney+ also produced Folklore: The Long Pond Sessions in 2020. Additionally, she starred in David O. Russell’s Amsterdam, a 20th Century Studios release.
