NBA rumors: Brian Windhorst drops latest LeBron James free agency revelations on player recruiting efforts

With the sports world awaiting LeBron James’s decision on where he will take his talents, there is no denying that many teams have been trying to recruit the superstar to their respective organizations. As it appears that James has all the information needed to make a decision, per sports agent Rich Paul, NBA insider Brian Windhorst would speak about how players are recruiting the 41-year-old.

Speaking on “The Hoop Collective” podcast with Tim MacMahon, Windhorst would talk about the rumblings that have come out of the Sun Valley Media Conference and how owners were asking each other about James. Plus, Windhorst would say that James had been “reaching out and talking to players” to better make up his upcoming decision.

“Obviously, we’re all waiting on LeBron,” Windhorst said. “The people in the league are all talking to each other, trying to find out what LeBron is thinking. There’s not a lot of information. A whole bunch of NBA owners were up at the Sun Valley Media Conference last week in Idaho.

“I will say that I wasn’t there,” Windhorst continued. “A bunch of the owners are there, and they were chatting, and some of the owners who are trying to get LeBron were talking to each other, and they were like, ‘Hey, you heard anything? Nope. Have you heard anything? Nope.’ You know, LeBron is reaching out and talking to players on some of these teams, and they report back to their GM or their coach like, ‘Hey, LeBron called. What did you think?’ You know. So I mean, who knows?”

LeBron James “has all the information needed” to make a decision

As mentioned, it appears that a decision is coming sooner rather than later for James, as Paul said to NBA insider Chris Haynes that James “has all the information needed.” In regard to the teams in question to obtain James, it includes the Miami Heat, Cleveland Cavaliers, Golden State Warriors, Denver Nuggets, Minnesota Timberwolves, and the Philadelphia 76ers.
