Natasha Howard gets brutally honest on finding success with Lynx

As the Minnesota Lynx and Natasha Howard reunited in the offseason after a stint with the Indiana Fever, she would have one of the better games in her career in Saturday’s 85-75 win over the Chicago Sky. With Howard coming back to the Lynx and head coach Cheryl Reeve, the player would talk about finding success with the team and the relationship with Reeve.

In the aforementioned win over the Sky, Howard would score 26 points on 11 of 15 shooting from the field to go along with 14 rebounds and five assists. Besides talking about the game, Howard mentioned the everlasting relationship with Reeve and how it’s stayed the same since her stint with Minnesota from 2016 to 2017.

“Absolutely, Coach Reeve knows how I play, she would never put me in a box, and my thing is just, you know, coming out there and just playing free, just playing my game, and just helping my team win,” Howard said, via CBS Sports.

“Wide open lane opportunity, reading my defender, what they was giving me, and they was giving me opportunity,” Howard continued about her game.

Besides the efforts from Howard, the Lynx are sporting a two-guard lineup with Courtney Williams and rookie Olivia Miles, a duo that the veteran spoke highly about.

“I love it, especially [Miles], like she’s a really good point guard. Courtney is a really good point guard. They both know how to read the pocket, you know. They understand what I like to do, and I understand what they like to do as well,” Howard said.

At any rate, Howard and Minnesota look to keep it going as the team is 4-2 ahead of Wednesday’s game against the Atlanta Dream.
