Myles Garrett leads 3 Rams superstars in Top 10 of ESPN’s NFL player rankings

The Los Angeles Rams enter the 2026 season with one of the most star-studded rosters in football, and ESPN’s latest player rankings only reinforce that notion.

Three Rams players landed inside the Top 10 of ESPN’s ranking of the NFL’s best players entering the season, headlined by new pass rusher Myles Garrett at No. 1 overall.

Wide receiver Puka Nacua checked in at No. 6, while quarterback Matthew Stafford landed at No. 9. Garrett taking the top spot shouldn’t come as much of a surprise. The Rams added one of the most dominant defensive players in football, giving an already talented roster another superstar capable of completely changing games.

“Garrett, the reigning DPOY, set an NFL record with 23 sacks last season. Now, he’s entering his first season with the Rams as the first defender at No. 1 on this list since Aaron Donald in 2019. Nacua’s placement at No. 6 is another indication of just how quickly his reputation has grown. The Rams receiver has established himself as one of the premier offensive weapons in the NFL and will once again be one of Stafford’s most important targets.

Then there’s Stafford, who remains among the league’s elite quarterbacks despite being one of its oldest starters. Landing at No. 9 gives Los Angeles three players inside the Top 10 at three premium positions: quarterback, wide receiver and edge rusher.

And the rankings don’t even tell the entire story.

Aaron Donald returned to the NFL too late to be considered for ESPN’s list. Had his comeback happened earlier, Los Angeles potentially could have had four players represented near the top of the rankings.

Donald returning and joining a defense already featuring Garrett only raises expectations for the Rams entering the season. Having one player ranked among the NFL’s Top 10 is impressive. Having three is a sign of a legitimate championship-caliber roster.

And with Donald back in the picture, Los Angeles somehow looks even more loaded than ESPN’s rankings suggest.
