Molly McCann thrills in homecoming slug-fest with ‘best performance yet’ as Paddy Pimblett beams
Molly McCann put on her best display yet in a boxing ring, securing a thrilling win in her Liverpool return.
McCann was welcomed into the ring for her first fight in her home city since 2018.

She would take on Ashleigh Johnson, in McCann’s fourth professional boxing fight after retiring from the UFC.
The huge show headlined by Ben Whittaker promised to be a big platform for the Evertonian to make a big statement with Paddy Pimblett sat ringside.
McCann put on a real show against a game and rugged Johnson who came out swinging and was by no means rolled over.
It was a real slug fest as always with ‘Meatball’ all-action and dominating with a physical and come-forward style.
Ultimately her enthralling approach paid off, as she got the job done unanimously on the judges’ scorecards.
Teammate Pimblett beamed in delight ringside as his close friend got the nod.
He clambered into the ring and embraced McCann after she got the glory she deserved.
