Marcos Senesi on the verge of Tottenham transfer as deal formally agreed

Marcos Senesi has agreed to join Tottenham on a four-year contract, talkSPORT understands.

The Bournemouth defender will leave the Vitality Stadium when his contract expires on June 30.

talkSPORT understands the Cherries have been resigned to losing Senesi since he refused to sign a new deal in December.

The 29-year-old agreed to stay at the club in January despite interest from Chelsea and played all-but one match in the 2025/26 campaign as Bournemouth qualified for the Europa League.

Manchester United, Juventus and Atletico Madrid were also keen on signing the Argentina international, but Spurs have won the race.

Tottenham struck an agreement in principle with Senesi in April which has now been formalised.

The north London club, who narrowly escaped relegation from the Premier League, have also agreed a deal to sign free agent Andy Robertson this summer.

As for Bournemouth, manager Andoni Iraola announced his exit weeks ago and the Spaniard is in advanced talks to take over at Bayer Leverkusen.

However, the Cherries are determined to keep star trio Rayan, Junior Kroupi and Alex Scott, having been hit hard during the 2025 summer transfer window.
