Dillon Danis issues explanation as he pulls out of Mike Perry clash at final hour with replacement found

Dillon Danis has pulled out of his bout with Mike Perry after suffering a nasty cut on his arm.

Danis and Perry were set to settle their bitter rivalry this weekend at the top of Dual Arena card.

But with just hours to go before the clash, the former has been forced to withdraw.

It has plunged the event into chaos, but ‘El Jefe’ is medically unable to fight.

Danis’ reason for withdrawal

Danis has explained exactly why he is unable to step into the cage again.

He wrote in a short statement: “S** happens in the fight game. Beyond disappointed.”

Accompanying his words, was a picture of a horrible cut on his arm that he was receiving stitches for.

Many had felt the circumstances were suspicious with the brash American having a history of pulling out of shows at the last minute.

He booked two boxing clashes with KSI and withdrew from both, which dampened his reputation.

But he has been far more active recently competing in wrestling promotion RAF regularly, while having won a Misfits MMA fight against Warren Spencer last year.

Perry’s reaction as replacement found

Nonetheless, ‘Platinum’ will still get his slot in the main event this weekend.

He will instead take on former UFC fighter Brandon Jenkins, who is now a veteran of combat sports.

In his last MMA outing, Jenkins scored an impressive victory over Chris Avila on Jake Paul‘s MMA card headlined by Ronda Rousey.

Perry was furious with Danis but paid tribute to his new opponent for stepping in at short notice.

He said: “Let’s not beat around the bush.

“This p***y a** b***h Dillon Danis didn’t show the f**k up,” Perry said.

“He’s not here. He backed the f**k out because he’s a p***y.

“I want to give a shout out to my new opponent Brandon Jenkins.
