Minnesota Lynx standout Kayla McBride is over the moon about her star chemistry with Olivia Miles as they progress through the second half of the 2026 WNBA season.

McBride and Miles are going through their first year together on the Lynx, seeing the latter make a case as the best rookie this season. Their performances have been remarkable as they lead the Lynx to the status as arguably the top squad in the entire league.

Minnesota’s latest contest against Dallas proved to be another example of their excellence on the court. They combined for 63 points while leading the Lynx past the Wings by a 103-90 score. McBride reflected on the win after the game, enjoying her time with Miles as star teammates.

“The last time I played with a true point guard it was Courtney Vandersloot and it was some of the best, most fun basketball I played. It’s not that I haven’t had amazing moments with Court, but it’s just something about playing with a true PG, that’s just, you know you get that ball with the laces and that velocity, it’s just like oh, kid in a candy story truly,” McBride said, per reporter Andrew Dukowitz.

How Kayla McBride, Lynx played against Wings

Kayla McBride looks forward to her growing chemistry with Olivia Miles. Meanwhile, the Lynx continue to flourish as an elite WNBA squad.

Four players scored in double-digits for Minnesota in the win over Dallas, including McBride and Miles. The former dominated with 43 points on 16-of-21 shooting from the field, including 10-of-14 from beyond the arc. Miles came next with 20 points and 13 assists, Napheesa Collier had 17 points and eight rebounds, while Natasha Howard provided 12 points and four rebounds.

Minnesota improved to a 27-7 record on the season, controlling the top spot in the Western Conference standings. They are above the Golden State Valkyries and the Las Vegas Aces at the moment.

The Lynx will look forward to their next matchup, being on the road. They take on the Portland Fire as tip-off takes place on Aug. 12 at 10 p.m. ET.
