Luke Littler to battle darts fans in new Netflix show with life-changing cash prize
Luke Littler will take on 20 ordinary people in a leg of darts for £501,000 later this year.
The two-time world champion will take part in a live event on Netflix on October 30.
‘Beat Luke Littler’ is set to air on the streaming platform, with applications now open for darts fans.
Regional heats will be held in London and Manchester in September to whittle down the applicants to 20 finalists.
Those who make it through will then take on Littler in a one-leg game of 501.
Taking on Littler
Appearing in an announcement video, Littler said: “Reckon you could beat me in a game of darts? Let’s go.”
Meanwhile, screenshots from social media of fans claiming they could beat Littler appeared on screen.
The competition is open to anyone aged 12 and above, although those aged under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at the open auditions.
Littler himself was only 16 when he reached the final of the 2024 PDC World Darts Championship.
His defeat to Luke Humphries in that match remains his only loss at Alexandra Palace.
The 19-year-old has since won 14 PDC major events including back-to-back world titles, amassing over £3million in prize money in the process.
Littler’s latest triumph came at the World Matchplay on Sunday as he thrashed Gerwyn Price 18-9 to successfully defend his title.
The Nuke also broke his own tournament record for 180s as well as recording the highest tournament average in the event’s history, posting an average of 111.04 which beat Phil Taylor’s record of 106.31 in 2010.
History beckons
Littler has now won all five of this year’s PDC premier events so far, including the PDC World Darts Championship, UK Open, Premier League and Masters.
As a result, Littler remains on course to hold all ten premier titles simultaneously before the end of the year.
The teenager plans to begin his quest to reach the Players Championship finals next month.
He will contest Players Championship 27 in Leicester on August 25, marking his first floor event of 2026.
Littler must also successfully defend his World Grand Prix and Grand Slam of Darts titles later this year.
Meanwhile, he will hope to recapture the World Series Finals crown in September.
The European Championship remains the only major singles title he has yet to win, with his best performance reaching the last 16 in 2025.
