PFL New York: Start time, fight card and how to watch Dakota Ditcheva return for free

The PFL continues its summer series in New York on Friday, live on talkSPORT.

PFL New York is stacked from head to toe, with the main event seeing undefeated Russian star Usman Nurmagomedov defend his lightweight title against Colorado native Archie Colgan.

The cousin of UFC legend Khabib Nurmagomedov, Nurmagomedov is 21-0 in his professional MMA career, having retained his belt against Briton Archie Davis last time out in February.

He is also fresh off back-to-back victories against Ireland’s Paul Hughes, following notable wins over Benson Henderson and Patricky Pitbull under the Bellator banner.

Colgan, meanwhile, is also unbeaten, extending his streak to 13-0 when he last fought Jay Jay Wilson in October 2025.

Also at PFL New York, British star Dakota Ditcheva makes her long-awaited return against Dutch fighter Denise Kielholtz following two major hand injuries.

The 28-year-old Mancunian, who represents American Top Team, is widely viewed as one of the greatest female fighters in the world and outpointed Sumiko Inaba in her last appearance in July 2025.

PFL New York: Start time

The PFL’s latest show takes place on Friday, July 31, at UBS Arena in Belmont Park, New York.

Preliminary action is scheduled to begin at 9pm BST (4pm ET, 1pm PT).

The four-fight main card is then set to start at 12am BST on Sunday (7pm ET, 4pm PT).

Fans can expect Ditcheva to make her walk to the cage for the co-main event around 1am BST Sunday (8pm ET, 5pm PT).

Nurmagomedov will then defend his title against Colgan.

PFL New York will be shown live on the talkSPORT Boxing YouTube channel and X account for FREE for fans based in the UK.

In the US, the card will air on ESPN 2.

PFL New York: What has been said?

Speaking to talkSPORT.com, Ditcheva explained the ‘crazy’ feeling of being back in New York for her MMA comeback.

“It’s going to be massive,” she said.

“And everyone I’ve spoken to at PFL has said they’re putting a lot into the New York card. It’s going to be a really big card, which is great.

“It’s funny as well, because my US debut with PFL in 2022 was in New York. It was the Madison Square Gardens. It wasn’t the actual big arena, but it was a little studio inside that.

“So to now be coming back and we’re going to Long Island, but still to New York is crazy. It almost feels like we’ve done a full circle and we’re on a fresh start.

“Big card. We’re ready to go again. We’re back.”

On going for the finish, she added: “That’s always what I want. I’m always upset when I don’t get that.

“But people underestimate [Kielholtz]. She’s very experienced. She’s very aggressive. I’ve watched her for a long time, even before she did MMA. I used to watch her kickboxing fights.

“Everyone thinks about the height difference as well. Denise has always been that height. So she’s always used to fighting people taller.

“She’s not going to be shy with like the range — things like that. I’m not underestimating anything about her.

“I’m excited to get in and hopefully it’ll be a good striking match for people to see.”
