Los Angeles Rams tipped to sign 4x Pro Bowl wide receiver amid growing Puka Nacua concerns

OTAs are well underway and some big names still have no place to call home in 2026.

One of those intriguing names on the market is four-time Pro Bowler Stefon Diggs.

Diggs was released by the New England Patriots after just one season, which allowed the franchise to avoid a $26.5 million cap charge and open up $16.8 million in space.

Diggs was an integral part of the Patriots’ run to Super Bowl LX last season, amassing 1,123 total receiving yards and five touchdowns.

He formed quite the partnership with league MVP runner-up Drake Maye but is now in search of a new team.

NFL Insider Tom Pelissero is linking Diggs to the Los Angeles Rams, who have a loaded roster on both sides of the ball.

“There are other [landing spots] without young quarterbacks,” Pelissero said on The Rich Eisen Show.

“The Rams, we talked about that too, the fact that they told Davante Adams that they might trade him because they were close to getting an A.J. Brown deal done, until they pulled the plug on that.

Puka Nacua has had a lot going on this offseason. He’s back with the team.

“Diggs to the Rams makes sense. Diggs has a bigger market [than Deebo Samuel Sr.].”

If the Rams were to investigate and complete the move it would give them one of the best wide receiver rooms in the league.

The trio of Davante Adams, Puka Nacua and Stefon Diggs catching passes from Matthew Stafford should place the Rams very high in Super Bowl contention.

The move could also provide crucial depth at the position, given Nacua’s off-field trouble this offseason.

Nacua issued an apology in December for performing a gesture that plays upon antisemitic tropes while appearing on a livestream.

Nacua also spent part of the offseason in rehab, and in March, had a lawsuit filed against him.

A Los Angeles women alleged he made an “unprovoked antisemitic statement” on New Year’s Eve and later bit her on the shoulder, according to the California Post.

Nacua’s lawyer denied the accusations and said his client is innocent of any wrongdoing.

Nacua, who has been one of Stafford’s top targets since 2024, is expected to be a full participant of the Rams OTAs, which starton May 26.

The 24-year-old led the league with 129 catches last season while racking up 1,715 yards and 10 touchdowns before leading the NFL again with 24 catches for 332 yards and two TDs in the playoffs.

He earned All-Pro honors and was a finalist for NFL Offensive Player of the Year.

His 1,715 yards receiving ranked second behind Seattle’s Jaxon Smith-Njigba’s 1,793.
