Liv Morgan recalls suffering hematoma injury before WrestleMania 42
The buildup to WWE WrestleMania 42 saw 2026 Royal Rumble winner Liv Morgan challenge Stephanie Vaquer for her Women’s World Championship. In the weeks building up to their match at WrestleMania 42, fans regularly saw both women get extremely physical and violent with each other.
However, days before their match, a backstage segment saw Liv Morgan get into a freak accident with fellow Judgment Day member Roxanne Perez. The segment showed both Morgan and Perez in a conversation, when Vaquer interrupted and banged Morgan into Perez. However, in an unscripted moment, the shove appeared harder than it was supposed to, and both women crashed hard into each other.
Speaking with Gino Salomone of watchginotv, Liv Morgan recalled suffering the injury. “I pretty much was having a meeting with my little prodigy, Roxanne Perez, in the Judgment Day clubhouse. No one gets access to the clubhouse unless you’re in the Judgment Day. Stephanie Vaquer – my WrestleMania opponent, whom I defeated at WrestleMania because I’m so much better than her – snuck into the clubhouse. She shoved me from behind, which was what she was doing my whole entire feud with her, she was just attacking me from behind,” she said.
“I bashed heads with my poor little Roxy [Roxanne Perez], had a hematoma which was huge on my head. All the blood drained down to my face, and I had two black eyes. So, I won at WrestleMania with a giant hematoma on my head and two black eyes. It’s kind of iconic.”
Despite Morgan winning the title at WrestleMania, there were major uncertainties related to her and Perez’s fitness after the bash. However, both women came out safe from it. Morgan, while not interested in a Hollywood career, made her WrestleMania entrance to her brand new song.
