Lions reuniting with 2025 Drake Maye backup to replace Teddy Bridgewater
The Detroit Lions could have one of the best offenses in the NFL this season, but they lost some of their depth on Sunday morning when backup quarterback Teddy Bridgewater told the team he is stepping away from football.
That left Detroit without many options as the backup to Jared Goff, but Dan Campbell and company wasted no time bringing in another arm. Veteran journeyman Joshua Dobbs has now signed with the Lions on a one-year deal worth $1.425 million, per NFL insider Mike Garafolo.
